Step 1: Screeding
First, you need to pour the concrete mixture in the right place. Try to pour the mixture evenly. Now try to flatten the surface of the mixture with the help of a screed.
Move the screed in right-left-right motion. It will allow you to remove the access concrete mixture. Repeat the process several times.
Step 2: Darbying

Step 5: Edging
Smooth the edges of the concrete slab with an edger tool. Use the edges of the forms as a guide in this case. Then edging will be an advantage.
Round and smooth the edges by applying long strokes. Give the process a matte finish by applying it around the concrete slab.
Step 6: Grooving
Make the marks at a certain distance to make the joint on the concrete slab. Now place a board along the mark. Sweep with a groover that pulls back and forth until a joint is formed.
Water may accumulate on the concrete surface again during this process. No worries. The water will be reabsorbed and wait until then.
The concrete slab will weaken if you continue to work while the water is accumulating. On the other hand, when water is absorbed, the slab starts to harden. At this point, you can start finishing work again.

Step 7: Floating

Step 8: Trowelling
By this time, your concrete slab has become partially hardened. Now take a steel trowel and hold it almost flat with the concrete slab’s surface and create pressure and sweep with long arc strokes.
